Graham Receives Frostburg State University President’s Distinguished Staff Award

Dr. Jeff Graham, FSU senior associate vice president for Student Affairs, was the 2023 recipient of the President’s Distinguished Staff Award, which recognizes a staff member who has provided exceptional service to the University and has helped to advance its mission, goals and priorities.
“I have been in awe of the work and dedication of Dr. Graham,” said Dr. Artie Travis, FSU vice president for Student Affairs. “He has been exceptional in his work, which has as its genesis serving our student and campus population.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Graham was instrumental in conjointly leading the efforts to keep faculty, staff and students safe as part of the response and recovery team. “Jeff was surely the right person on the team at the right time,” said Travis. At his core, Graham always strives to do the best he can to support students and FSU, whether it be during times of crisis or in normal times.
Outside of his work, Graham invests countless hours working to develop effective strategies that support and engage FSU students and to help make the campus a welcoming environment. Students rely on him to answer questions about health, prevention or veterans’ services, counseling and psychological services and career and professional development.
Graham is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, the Association for Student Conduct Administration and the National Association for Colleges and Employers.
