Men's Wrestling Takes Fourth Place in First-Ever MEC Championship Appearance
WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – The Frostburg State men's wrestling team finished fourth at the Mountain East Conference Championships in their first appearance at the meet, finishing with 87 total team points.
The highest overall finish on the day went to junior Thierno Diallo, who fought his way to second place in the 133-weight class and pulling in 12 team points for the Bobcats. After a victory in the semifinals, Diallo faced his toughest opponent of the year in last year's national champion and the No. 3-ranked wrestler in the class, Gavin Quiocho from Glenville State, who took a close 8-3 decision win.
