Diaz Goes Undefeated in Men's Tennis Close Loss to Harford

BEL AIR, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team put up a fight on the road against Harford Community College on Sunday, falling in the contest 4-3. 
 
The junior duo of Cole Alcala and German Diaz picked up the dominant 6-1 victory in the No. 1 doubles slot, prior to the team of juniors Noah Fisher and Jason Haley taking the close 7-6 win in the No. 3 doubles hole. 
 
Diaz was the lone Bobcat to go undefeated on the day, seeing a 7-6, 6-4 win in No. 2 singles.  Sophomore Viktor Boban saw the other win in singles play for Frostburg, earning the 6-1, 6-4 match right behind Dias in No. 3.  Alcala, senior Matt Bolen, and Haley all fought to the third set in their matches. 
 
With the loss, Frostburg falls to 1-2 on the season.  The Bobcats remain on the road for their next contest, heading down state to face UDC on Friday, March 14 at 1 PM.  For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com.
