Etnoyer Paces Women's Cross Country to 4th at Galen Piper Challenge
SHIPPENSBURG, PA – The Frostburg State women's cross-country team kicked off its season at the 15th Annual Shippensburg University Galen Piper XC Classic, placing fourth overall at the meet.
The Bobcats competed in a 4K race against nine other teams, including schools from the Division III level. FSU finished fourth overall as a team with 117 points and a total time of 1:22.50. Junior Paige Etnoyer brought in the top finish for Frostburg, earning a top-10 spot in ninth at 15:59.3. Fellow junior Emily Wishart also made the top 20 at 16:22.9.
Junior Hannah Schauman and freshman Leah Magda finished 26th (16:31.9) and 29th (16:41.8), respectively. Sophomore Keira Taylor rounded out the scoring finishing 41st (17:13.5) overall.
The Bobcats compete again Friday, September 12 with they travel to Shenandoah for a 6:30 PM start. For more information, please visit frostburgsports.com.
