Men's Cross Country Slots Seventh Place in Cantello Invite for Opening Meet
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Cross Country team opened their season on Saturday morning in the Cantello Invite held by Navy, where the team placed seventh overall.
Sophomore Jack Hynes had the best finish on the day for Frostburg in the 5k, running a 18:39.5 for 29th place. Senior Logan Folmer was next for the Bobcats in 33rd place with a 19:23.8 time, while sophomore Nathan Hillhouse and freshman Ethan McKee brought it home for FSU with the former finishing 35th with a time of 19:53.8 and the latter taking 36th with a time of 20:19.7.
Sophomores Jaxon Jones (27:01.2) and Gage Osborne (27:10.8) ran the 4.9 mile, capturing 43rd and 45th place, while sophomore Ray Gibson (28:32.9), freshman Ben Saltysiak (28:39.6), junior Brandon Stein (28:51.8), and senior Austin Comeaux (29:33.3) slotted the 60th through 64th spots in the event to conclude the day for Frostburg.
