Bauer, Holler Named NCBWA First Team All-Region
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The NCBWA announced their 2025 All-Region teams on Friday afternoon, with Frostburg State Baseball senior Patrick Bauer and junior Jake Holler being named First Team All-Atlantic Region.
Bauer is coming off a remarkable season in 2025, having captured the title of MEC Pitcher of the Year to round his collegiate career. The First Team All-MEC righty led Frostburg and the conference in ERA (2.20) and strikeouts (89), seeing a team best record of 9-1. Bauer was a two-time MEC Pitcher of the Week and NCBWA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week recipient, throwing 65.1 innings for two complete games on the year, giving up just 16 earned runs and 11 walks in 12 appearances, while seeing an opposing batting average of .225.
Holler fit extremely well into the DH role this year for the Bobcats, leading the team with a .375 batting average for 39 hits in 41 games. He tallied seven doubles and four home runs for 60 total bags on the season, scoring 34 runs and collecting 27 RBI. Holler led the team in slugging percentage (.577%) and was second on the team in on base percentage (.468%) in just his first year at FSU.
