Bauer Receives NCBWA Atlantic Pitcher of the Week Honor
FROSTBURG, Md. - Continuing a list of accolades from a dominant pitching performance, senior Pat Bauer was named the NCBWA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
In a 7-1 victory over West Virginia State on Sunday, Bauer tossed a complete game with just two hits and one earned run allowed while striking out 11 batters. His performance also garnered MEC Player of the Week honors, as his strikeout total against the Yellow Jackets set a new-career high. He currently ranks first in the conference in batting average allowed (.196) while placing second in the MEC in ERA (2.77) and strikeouts (33).
