Walstrum, Kearney Earn USA LAX Magazine Honorable Mention All-American Honors
FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State Men's Lacrosse team continued its three-year streak of having selections to the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American list, as announced on Friday.
Seniors Alex Walstrum and Seamus Kearney were each named Honorable Mention All-Americans, the first time in their careers being recognized by USA LAX. Walstrum, the team's face-off specialist, ended the season leading all of Division II in win percentage (.756) while also setting the single-season program record in the process. He went 121-of-160 in the X, picking up a team-high 88 groundballs and providing a pair of goals and assists during the year.
A constant force defensively as FSU's long-stick mid, Kearney broke the program's career caused turnover record (141) after racking up 37 this season, which tied him for eighth in the country. He had the third-most groundballs for the Bobcats with 56 while also adding four goals.
