Men's Cross Country Begins Season with Fifth-Place Finish at Galen Piper Challenge
SHIPPENSBURG, PA – The Frostburg State men's cross-country team kicked off its season at the 15th Annual Shippensburg University Galen Piper XC Classic, placing fifth as a team.
The FSU men competed in 6K race with a total of nine other teams, including other schools at the Division III and NJCAA level. The Bobcats finished fifth overall with a score of 155 and a total time of 1:46:52. Freshman Connor McIntyer finished 19th overall and led Frostburg with a 20:43.2 in his first collegiate race. Junior Gage Osborne came in close behind at 23rd (20:54.8). Rounding out the scoring Bobcats on the day were juniors Ray Gibson (32nd, 21:13.6)), Jaxon Jones (37th, 21:35.2) and Jack Hynes (49th, 22:24.6).
The Bobcats compete again Friday, September 12 with they travel to Shenandoah for another twilight meet at a 6:30 PM start. For more information, please visit frostburgsports.com.
