Women's Swimming Shows Successful Day Two of Championships to Remain On Top of MEC

CANTON, Ohio – The Frostburg State Women's Swim team remains in control of the MEC on Day Two of the GMAC/MEC Championships, holding onto fourth place overall after another dominant day in the pool. 
 
Freshman Genna Rippeon took the best finish of the day for Frostburg, sliding into third place overall in the 400-yard IM, taking the best spot of the MEC in the event with a swim of 4:35.03, while setting the new best time in program history.  Freshman Taylor Emrich was right behind her in sixth, seeing the second best swim in the conference with a 4:44.87 time, which is now second best in school history.  Senior Natasha Paciello (4:51.82) and sophomore Morgan Greenlee (4:55.77) both earned spots in the B Final, setting new all-time records themselves, while senior Alexis Ramsey (4:55.76) took the best spot in the C Final to round out the event and new all-time records for the Bobcats. 
 
Senior Kendall Hooper placed 11th in the 100-yard butterfly, also leading the way in the MEC, showing a 58.10.  Sophomore Jayme Meadows finished with a 1:57.65 in the 200-yard free, seeing the best finish in the C Final and a new personal best for fourth all-time. 
 
To round out the day, the 400-yard medley relay team of Hooper, Rippeon, Paciello, and senior Lydia Nebiolo, placed third overall with a swim of 3:57.68 to represent the best MEC finish in the event, and another new program record.
