Schroeder Named Assistant Athletic Trainer

FROSTBURG, Md. – Robert Schroeder has recently been added to the Frostburg State athletic training staff following a national search in July.

FROSTBURG, Md. – Robert Schroeder has recently been added to the Frostburg State athletic training staff following a national search in July.
 
Schroeder comes to Frostburg after serving as an athletic trainer at Wesley College for the last three years. While a part of the Wolverine athletic staff, he coordinated medical support and provided for medical care for all 16 varsity teams and over 300 student-athletes.
 
While at WC, Schroeder also served as a sports medicine liaison for First State Orthopedics and provided per diem coverage at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance along with Bayhealth Medical Centers.
 
Prior to Wesley, Schroeder was an outreach athletic trainer at ATI Physical Therapy for the Oley Valley School District in 2015-16. From August 2014-15, he worked as an athletic training intern for Wesley, providing medical care to the football and women's lacrosse teams.
 
Schroeder has also worked as an athletic trainer at West Chester University, the Reading
United Athletic Club, the Philadelphia Union Academy, the Delaware Turf Sports Complex and the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association.
 
Away from competition, Schroeder was a Peer to Peer Discussion Panelist at the Delaware Athletic Training Association 2017 Annual Meeting, Concussion Management Research Assistant in the spring of 2016 and was a Case Report Poster Presentation at the Pennsylvania Athletic Training Society 2014 Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium.
 
Schroeder earned his bachelors degree in athletic training from West Chester University in May 2014.
