Cain Inducted Into Ewing High Hall of Fame

FROSTBURG, Md. - After a standout athletic career at Ewing (N.J.) High School, Frostburg State University strength and conditioning/fitness center coordinator Glenn Cain will be inducted into the school's Hall of Fame on Saturday, March 13.

FROSTBURG, Md. - After a standout athletic career at Ewing (N.J.) High School, Frostburg State University strength and conditioning/fitness center coordinator Glenn Cain will be inducted into the school's Hall of Fame on Saturday, March 13.

Cain, class of 2003, was a four-year (1999-2003) athlete on the track & field team, a three-year member of the football program and a National Honor Society scholar.

During his senior year in 2003, he helped the indoor track team to a NJSIAA state title, was captain of a 9-2 Blue Devil football team which he led with 10 sacks as a defenisve end and was named the Senior Athlete of the Year.

Cain, named to the All-CVC half-decade football team, was also captain of the track & field team that enjoyed a four-year undefeated run in dual meets, posting a perfect 40-0 record. He was a two-time Mercer County champion in the shot put

After Ewing HS, Cain went on to a successful four-year letter winning career at Gettysurg (Pa.) College in both football and track & field. Despite being injured during his senior season, Cain served as team captain of the track team and earned a total of seven Centennial Conference Medals and set school records in the indoor weight throw, hammer throw and discus. He was voted as the MVP for the 2005 outdoor track season and in 2007 was the male recipient of the Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Award.

Cain earned his masters degree in exercise science and sports studies from Spring (Mass.) College, graduating with a 3.70 grade point average. While at Springfield, Cain served as an intern for the strength and conditioning programs for the Rutgers University football team, Kansas University men's and women's basketball teams and the University of Connecticut football and basketball teams.

Cain, FSU's first-ever strength and conditioning/fitness center coordinator, oversees daily operation of the fitness center and strength training and conditioning for all 20 varsity athletic teams.
