Golf Takes Seventh at the Penn State Altoona Invitational

ALTOONA, Pa. — Senior Sean Buenger was the top finisher for Frostburg State at the Penn State Altoona Invitational on Monday. Buenger, who finished 15th in the overall rankings, shot 83, helping the Bobcats to a seventh place finish at 345.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Senior Sean Buenger (Westminster, Md./Westminster) was the top finisher for Frostburg State at the Penn State Altoona Invitational on Monday. Buenger, who finished 15th in the overall rankings, shot 83, helping the Bobcats to a seventh place finish at 345.

Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Lake Erie won the invitational with a combined score of 314 followed closely by Altoona Blue (317) and Behrend (318). Finishing fourth was Pitt Bradford with a score of 326 while Medaille took fifth with 342. Altoona White edged out Frostburg State for sixth place with a score of 343.

Sophomore Josh Williford (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) and senior Wayne Rice (Cumberland, Md./Fort Hill) each shot 86 for FSU while senior Joe Eaton (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) was fourth for the team (90).

The Bobcats return to the course at Mt. Aloysius on September the 25th at 1:00 pm.
