Golf Captures Sixth at AMCC Championship

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Senior Joe Eaton finished third at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Golf Championship and was the top finisher for Frostburg State this past weekend. Eaton shot a total of 155 for the two day event.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Senior Joe Eaton (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) finished third at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Golf Championship and was the top finisher for Frostburg State this past weekend. Eaton shot a total of 155 for the two day event.

Penn State Altoona won the championship title for the second year in a row with a score of 629. Medaille College finished runner-up (648) follwed by Lake Erie (654). La Roche captured fourth with a score of 656 and Pitt-Bradford was fifth with 667. Frostburg State was sixth with a score of 679.

On the first day of the championship, senior Sean Buenger (Westminster, Md./Westminster) and Eaton finished second and third respectively with Buenger shooting 77 and Eaton 78. Finishing third for FSU was senior Wayne Rice (Cumberland, Md./Fort Hill) after shooting 80 followed by junior Bryan Wesolowski (Waldort, Md./West Lake) and sophomore Sean Farrell (Frostburg, Md./Beall) who tied for fourth for the Bobcats after shooting 100.

On day two, Eaton shot 77 to finish second for the day while Buenger shot 84, capturing 10th overall (161). Rice finished 21st in the championship with a score of 167, while Farrell finished 46th (196) and Wesolowski finished 48th (201).

The Bobcats return to the course at La Roche on October the 8th at 12:00 pm.
