CHARLESTON, W. Va. - The Frostburg State Men's Basketball dropped a road contest to the #21 Charleston Golden Eagles on Saturday afternoon by a score of 95-54. The victory completed a regular season sweep for the Golden Eagles for 2023-24.

The Bobcats struggled to keep pace offensively with the high flying Golden Eagles, as UCWV out shot FSU 60% to 40%. FSU was able to 18 of its 29 first half points from behind the three point arc, but Charleston would be too much to handle offensively. In the second half, the Golden Eagles would not cool off offensively, still sitting over 50% from the field. FSU would drop to a 28% from the field in the second half, as the cold shooting made for a tough afternoon.

The Bobcats struggled with the size of UCWV, as the Golden Eagles would register 48 total points in the paint to the 10 for the Bobcats. Robby Williams would be a bright spot for the Bobcats, registering 21 points in the contest. Justin Roseme and Zane McCarty would also chip in eight points each to be tied for second on the score sheet.

The loss now marks eight in a row for the Bobcats, and drops them to 2-20 on the year and 2-13 in conference play. Charleston improves to 18-3, and 13-2 in conference play. FSU returns to action on Wednesday February 14 when they return home to face West Liberty at 7:30. For more information visit frostburgsports.com.
