CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Soccer team concluded their season Sunday afternoon, dropping their season finale to No. 3 Charleston (WV) 10-0 on the road.

Just over a minute into the game, UC scored quickly after kick-off for a 1-0 lead. Both teams battled for possession for the next 10 minutes, trying to find their rhythm on offense. Around 11 and a half minutes in and after two missed shots, the Golden Eagles put together another run, slicing the ball into the low corner of the goal, increasing their lead to 2-0. Frostburg struggled to keep the ball on their offensive half and keep the ball from the Charleston, as UC found themselves with another try at goal, connecting once more for a 3-0 advantage. FSU found themselves with a run at goal, before a foul was called, giving the ball back to the Golden Eagles. Charleston tried once more at goal, this time placing the ball in the high left corner for a 4-0 advantage.

With around 17 minutes left in the half, the Bobcats fired away their first shot of the game, as sophomore Anthony Ibarra ripped a strike to the low left corner that was saved by UC goalie Marc Torrado. The Golden Eagles kept the momentum off the save, controlling the ball down to their offensive half, for another attempt at goal, striking again in adding to their lead. Frostburg continued to struggle to keep possession, as Charleston dominated on both sides of the field. UC ripped two more shots to end the half, connecting on one of them for a 6-0 lead heading into the break.

Junior Brennan Moore made his first save to start the second half, as the Golden Eagles fired three straight shots at goal with one being saved, one missing left, and the third finding the back of the net. Moore earned himself another save, as UC continued to find opportunities at goal left and right. Over 10 minutes into the second, Charleston increased their lead once more, finding themselves up 8-0. FSU showed some life, possessing the ball, as Moore stepped up with another save. Freshman Logan Malone saw an opportunity at goal, firing right at Torrado.

UC continued their constant pressure on offense, pounding shots at goal. With under 15 minutes left in regulation, the Golden Eagles found another way to add to their lead, now ahead 9-0. Ibarra tried to get the Bobcats on the board, finding himself open for another shot, but missed wide right. With under four minutes left in the game, Charleston sliced the ball into the back of the net one more time for a 10-0 game. Before time winded out, Moore was credited with another save and FSU took another shot, as graduate Alex Flores aimed low center but was denied.
