Men's Swimming Loses to UMBC, Salisbury in Tri-Meet

The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team lost to UMBC and Salisbury on the road Saturday afternoon, falling by scores of 155-50 and 137-68, respectively.

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team lost to UMBC and Salisbury on the road Saturday afternoon, falling by scores of 155-50 and 137-68, respectively.

Frostburg knotted two second place finishes on the day, with junior Nate Canapp in the 1,000-yard freestyle at a time of 10:01.43, while the 200-yard freestyle relay team of sophomore Julian Najarro Sedar, freshman Tory Reynolds, and seniors Jackson Miller and Noah Loper clocked a time of 1:28.81.

Sedar earned a third place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a 22.19 time, while Loper (1:49.70) and freshman Abe Bias (1:50,70) took fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle.

Canapp also finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 4:57.72, while Sedar took fourth in the 100-yard butterfly with a 53.41 time, and Loper came fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a 49:30 time. Freshman Dylan King crossed the finish line in fifth place with a time of 2:03.61 in the 200-yard IM.

With the losses, FSU goes to 5-5 on the year as they will travel to Fredericksburg, VA on Saturday, January 27 to face Mary Washington for their last regular season meet of the year beginning at 1 PM. For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com.
