Myatt Goes Unbeaten, Men's Tennis Takes Down Nazareth to Finish Spring Trip

The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team concluded their Spring Break trip with a 7-2 victory over Nazareth on Thursday.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team concluded their Spring Break trip with a 7-2 victory over Nazareth on Thursday.
 
FSU began the meet with the top doubles pairing of freshman Peter Barun and senior Del Carden winning 8-1. Also winning in convincing fashion was the pairing of junior Matt Bolen and sophomore German Diaz, picking up an 8-2 victory.
 
Myatt went on to sweep at the second singles spot 6-0, 6-0, as did sophomore Cole Aclala at No. 1. Sophomores Noah Fisher (6-2, 6-0) and Jason Haley (6-3, 6-1) were both dominant in their matches, while junior Cian Cabodevilla took a three-set marathon 6-4, 0-6, 10-8. The Golden Flyers earned wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles to bring the meet score to 7-2.  
 
With the win, Frostburg improves to 3-6 on the year, while Nazareth drops to 0-9. FSU returns home to face West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
