Women's Wrestling Lands Four NWCA Scholar All-Americans

The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA Women's Scholar All-American Awards, with senior Shani Tyson, sophomore Jada Fowler, and freshmen Elle Webster and Amber Hunter-Snyder receiving the award for Frostburg State Women's Wrestling.

MANHEIM, Pa. -  The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA Women's Scholar All-American Awards, with senior Shani Tyson, sophomore Jada Fowler, and freshmen Elle Webster and Amber Hunter-Snyder receiving the award for Frostburg State Women's Wrestling.
 
These outstanding student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following academic and athletic criteria: 

  • A top eight placer at nationals and at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Competed in a minimum of 15 matches that are recorded in TRACKWRESTLING and has at least a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
  • Was a national qualifier and has at least a 3.25 Cumulative GPA

All four athletes helped Frostburg to an outstanding second year as a program, leading the Bobcats to a 10-1 overall record, while Hunter-Snyder was named a regional champion, with her and Fowler qualifying to compete in the national tournament.  In the classroom, Tani showed a perfect 4.0 in Counseling Psychology, while Hunter-Snyder currently has a 3.9 GPA as a freshman.  Webster holds a 3.7 GPA in Health Science, while Fowler has a 3.33 in Computer Science, repeating as a NWCA Scholar All-American from last year.
