Firebirds Sweep Men's Tennis in Road Defeat

The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team lost 7-0 on their road trip to District of Columbia Friday afternoon.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team lost 7-0 on their road trip to District of Columbia Friday afternoon.
 
UDC took each of the doubles matches, with juniors Cole Alcala and German Diaz coming closest to a victory for FSU in a 6-4 decision. Alcala went on to be the lone Bobcat to earn a set victory, narrowly losing in a close match 4-6, 6-4, 10-4. The Firebirds swept each of the remaining five singles matches to take the meet victory.
 
With the loss, Frostburg drops to 1-3 on the year, while UDC improves to 4-3. The Bobcats next have a road trip to Virginia to face Norfolk State and Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday, March 19 beginning at 12 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
