Halling, Kraisser Take Falls in Men's Wrestling Win Over Marymount
ARLINGTON, Va. – The Frostburg State men's wrestling team picked up a road dual win at Marymount by a team score of 29-15.
The Saints took the 125 match for an early 3-0 lead, as FSU quickly responded by winning the 133 and 141, picking up bonus points in both matches. Freshman Tanner Halling continued his strong season with a fall at the 2:35 mark before sophomore Chase Bell won my major decision 10-1 to make the overall score 10-3.
MU closed the gap with a major decision at 149, but freshman Calvin Kraisser got a pin just over a minute into the 157 match. After Marymount took a tech fall at 165, FSU would win both the 174 and 184 matches by the same result, as junior Duncan Kammar and then sophomore Andrew Wolfanger got the wins for the Bobcats at 21-5 and 17-1, respectively. The Saints took one more win by decision at 197, as junior Gavin Bage finished off the night with with a 10-5 decision, making the final team score 29-15.
The victory makes the Bobcats 3-2 on the year in duals, while Marymount drops to 4-7. FSU will next host Salem (WV) on Saturday, December 6 in Bobcat Arena at 3 PM. For more information check frostburgsports.com.
