Women's Cross Country Opens Season at Galen Piper Invite
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Frostburg State Women's Cross Country team began their season on Friday night with a ninth place finish at the Galen Piper Invite hosted by Shippensburg.
Freshmen Paige Etnoyer and Hannah Schauman led the pack for the Bobcats, finishing in the top 30 with times of 15:58.8 and 16:01.7, respectively. Sophomore Alana Dyce-Giraud ran a 16:16.2 in a crowded pack to earn 41st.
Juniors Amy Tarcza (16:58.8) and Chelsea Montau (17:07.2) both completed personal 4K bests, as sophomore Adra Schell (18:06.1) and Bridget Sawyers (19:32.1) rounded out the scoring marks for FSU.
Frostburg next travels to Bethany in West Virginia on Saturday, September 10 for a 10 AM meet. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
