Women's XC Places 7th in Final Tune-Up Before MEC Championships

The Frostburg State Women's Cross Country team placed seventh out of 13 teams in the Bill Lennox Invitational held on Saturday morning.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Frostburg State Women's Cross Country team placed seventh out of 13 teams in the Bill Lennox Invitational held on Saturday morning.

Sophomore Alana Dyce-Giraud was the top finisher for Frostburg, finishing in the top 15, knotting a 23:26 time for a 12th place finish. Freshmen Paige Etnoyer (25:03) and Hannah Schauman (25:09) took 34th and 37th place, respectively, crossing the finish line six seconds apart.

Staying in the 25 minute mark, junior Elizabeth Stanely ran a time of 25:41, while junior Amy Tarcza came in right behind her with a 25:48 time. Junior Cheslea Montau (26:06) and freshman Emily Wishart (26:18) brought the final places in for the Bobcats, with Wishart earning herself a new personal record.
