Women's Cross Country Places 5th at MEC Championships, Dyce-Giraud Earns 2nd Team All-MEC

The Frostburg State Women's Cross Country team finished fifth out of nine teams in the MEC Cross Country Championships held on Saturday morning.

OGLEBAY, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Women's Cross Country team finished fifth out of nine teams in the MEC Cross Country Championships held on Saturday morning.

Sophomore Alana Dyce-Giraud crossed the finish line first for FSU with a 25:49.55 time and a 16th place finish overall, earning herself Second Team All-MEC honors. Freshmen Hannah Schauman (26:47.21) and Paige Etnoyer (26:52.16) placed back-to-back in 26th and 27th, with junior Elizabeth Stanley (28:12.40) and freshman Emily Wishart (28:16.15) knotting back-to-back finishes as well, coming in 38th and 39th, respectively.

Sophomore Adra Schell knotted a 42nd place finish for a 28.22.21 time, with junior Amy Tarcza running a 29:23.57 for a 53rd place finish to round out the Bobcat results.

Frostburg will travel to Lock Haven, Pa. for the Go Fast River Run on Saturday, October 28 at 10 AM. For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com.
