King Announced as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
FROSTBURG, Md. - Frostburg State Director of Athletics Troy Dell has announced Steph King as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
King, a 2022 FSU graduate, has spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the program, helping the team to back-to-back MEC Tournament championships. Over the course of her coaching tenure, the Bobcats sported a record of 25-12, including a 13-5 record in 2024 that was the team's most wins since 1992. They achieved their first regional ranking since joining the Division II level, completing an undefeated conference season as part of a nine-game winning streak.
During her playing career, she established herself as one of the top attackers in school history, finishing ninth all-time in goals scored, fourth in assists, and fifth in total points. She was twice named First Team All-MEC, while earning MEC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2022, as well as being named to the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game.
