BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Sophomore Alyssa Kush was named MEC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, as the award was announced on Monday and is presented by The Health Plan.
Kush captured the victory in both her doubles and singles matches against Bowie State on Thursday, helping Frostburg sweep the Bulldogs with a 7-0 final. Kush secured the 6-3 win with her partner Lauren Ceballos to earn the doubles point for FSU, while dominating her opponent in singles play, coming out on top with a 6-2, 6-1 score.
