Kiple Named ABCA/Rawlings Third Team All-American

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The 2024 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-America teams have been released, with Frostburg State senior Ethan Kiple being named a Third Team All-American.  The ABCA/Rawlings All-America teams are selected by members of the ABCA All-America committees.
 
Kiple, receiving another All-American distinction, adds to his accolades of MEC Player of the Year, D2CCA and ABCA/Rawlings Atlantic Region Player of the Year, NCBWA All-Region Second Team honoree, and D2CCA All-American Honorable Mention, all to conclude his career at Frostburg.   As a first baseman, Kiple led the MEC in runs scored with 58, while tying for the conference lead in both hits (69) and runs (18), and leading the Bobcats in batting average (.385) and RBI (59), while roping 17 doubles as well.  Kiple, also throwing 18 innings on the mound for FSU, went for a 3.50 ERA, one win, five saves, and 20 strikeouts in his final collegiate season. 
 
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced on Wednesday, June 19. The ABCA NCAA Div. II Region All-Defensive teams will be announced on Thursday, June 20.
