Kiple Earns D2CCA All-American Honorable Mention

MARSHALL, Minn. – The 2024 NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America Baseball Teams were announced by the organization on Thursday, with Frostburg State senior Ethan Kiple receiving Honorable Mention. 
 
Kiple, adding to his accolades of MEC Player of the Year, D2CCA and ABCA/Rawlings Atlantic Region Player of the Year, and NCBWA All-Region Second Team honoree, concludes his career at Frostburg with an All-American status.  As a first baseman, Kiple led the MEC in runs scored with 58, while tying for the conference lead in both hits (69) and runs (18).  Leading the Bobcats in batting average (.385) and RBI (59), while roping 17 doubles as well, Kiple also threw 18 innings on the mound for FSU, going for a 3.50 ERA, one win, five saves, and 20 strikeouts. 
 
A total of 48 student-athletes were named to either the first, second or third team All-America squad while 16 were named honorable mention.  The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
