NCATA Announces Frostburg as #7 Seed in National Championship Field for Second Consecutive Year
FROSTBURG, Md. – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) today announced its 2024 National Championships matchups and at-large event qualifiers following the completion of the 2024 regular season and conference championships slate over the weekend.
Coming off their second straight Mountain East Conference Championship, Frostburg State has been named the seventh overall seed for the second consecutive year. FSU enters the championships with an overall record of 7-2 and a conference record of 4-1, with both losses coming during the regular season to ranked opponents Gannon and Fairmont State, as the Bobcats defeated the Falcons to take the conference championship crown. Frostburg's quarterfinal matchup will be against second-ranked Quinnipiac, who show a 6-0 record having defeated ranked opponents Oregon and Gannon in the regular season.
This year's championship will be hosted by the Fairmont State University at Joe Retton Arena and the Feaster Center. The eight-team, single-elimination tournament will begin on Thursday, April 25 with four quarterfinal matchups. The semifinals are set for Friday evening, while the National Championship meet will be contested on Saturday evening. National individual event finals are scheduled for Sunday morning at 11 a.m. (The full championship schedule is listed below)
