MEC Releases Men's Basketball Preseason Poll
BRIDGEPORT. W.Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Basketball team was picked tenth in the MEC Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Frostburg finished tenth in the MEC a year ago, going for a 3-26 record, with just two conference wins under first year head coach Zack Thomsen. The Bobcats stand with 20 points in the poll, coming in between Wheeling (29) and West Virginia Wesleyan (11), both who FSU picked up a win over last season. West Liberty sits at the top of the poll with 99 total points and nine first place votes, while Fairmont State (87) and the reigning conference champions of Charleston (81) file in next, each receiving a first place vote as well.
FSU starts their season with the Bobcat Classic, hosting Shippensburg at home on Saturday, November 9 at 6 PM. Frostburg then finishes out the tournament with a 3 PM game against Seton Hill (Pa.) on Sunday, November 10. For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com.
