Proceed below for small breakdowns on each team last season and the all-time histories vs FSU.
-Millersville Marauders (PSAC East) (3-7 in 2023)
- The Millersville Marauders will make the trip to Bobcat Stadium and open the season under the lights in 2024. This will be the first time taking on a PSAC opponent in DII for the Bobcats. The Marauders closed out 2023 as losers of seven in a row after winning three of their first four games. This will be the first ever matchup between the two programs. FSU has won four straight season openers dating back to 2020.
- West Liberty Hilltoppers (4-6 in 2023)
- The Bobcats head to the hilltop for the conference opener after blowing out WL last season at home, in a 37-7 victory that saw FSU rack up five scores on the ground. This is only the second visit in the modern era for FSU to the hilltop and the first since 2022. The win last season put the all-time matchup history to 6-3-1 in favor of FSU.
-Concord Mountain Lions (1-10 in 2023)
- Last season the Bobcats made quick work of the Mountain Lions in Athens, besting CU by a 34-3 final score. The Bobcats would rattle off 34 straight points after giving up an opening field goal. FSU will look to avenge its 2022 loss to Concord at Bobcat Stadium which came via a botched extra point attempt which would tie the game as time had expired. FSU is 3-1 all-time against CU.
-Robert Morris Coloniels (Northeast Conference, NEC) (4-7 in 2023)
- FSU heads to Moon Township for their first contest against a Division I opponent since 2007 (a 37-10 loss at Duquesne). Robert Morris competes within the NEC Conference starting this season, after jumping from the combined Big South/Ohio Valley conference for football. The Bobcats are one of two Division II schools on the schedule for the RMU, as they also are slated to take on PSAC side Edinboro. This will be the first ever matchup between the two programs.
-West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats (0-10 in 2023)
- The other Bobcats of the conference return to the schedule for the first time since 2022, and will be making only their second ever trip to Bobcat Stadium. In the last matchup in Buckhannon in 2022, FSU shut out WVWC 37-0 and have outscored them by a combined 127-27 in the three all-time meetings. FSU is 3-0 all-time against WVWC.
-Glenville State Pioneers (6-4 in 2023)
- FSU returns to Glenville State for the first time since 2019, as they are still in search of their first ever win against the Pioneers. Last season saw FSU fall 13-10 in a close matchup at Bobcat Stadium, where GSU would pick off the Bobcats four times and hold FSU to its lowest offensive output all season. FSU is 0-2 all-time against GSU.
-Charleston (WV) Golden Eagles (10-2 in 2023)
- Every time the Bobcats and the Golden Eagles get together, an instant classic is sure to follow seems to be the trend. Last season saw the contest come down to the wire, with FSU being unable to collect an onside kick at the end of the game looking to tie with a field goal. UCWV got the win 28-25. The Golden Eagles are also coming off an MEC Championship, as well as a regional semifinal postseason run that came to an end at home against eventual regional winner Kutztown, 32-21. FSU is 3-1 all-time against UCWV.
-Wheeling Cardinals (5-5 in 2023)
- Last season saw a defensive classic from FSU against the Cardinals on the road, the Bobcat defense would pick off four passes from the Cardinals and return one for a score on the very first play of the game. FSU got the win 20-16. FSU is 4-1 all-time against the Cardinals.
-West Virginia State Yellow Jackets (4-6 in 2023)
- A slugfest under the lights last season at Bobcat Stadium had FSU walking away victorious 28-14. The win had the Bobcats rack up 420 total yards of offense against the Yellow Jackets last season. The trip to Institute will bee the first time FSU plays on campus at WVSU, with the other road matchup against the Yellow Jackets occurring on the home field of Charleston while WVSU finished field upgrades at the time in 2021. FSU is 3-1 all-time against WVSU.
-UNC Pembroke Braves (7-3 in 2023)
-The Bobcats take the long trek to the Tar Heel State in 2024 for the final time, as UNCP will depart the conference for the revival of football within Conference Carolinas in 2025. The Bobcats bested the Braves last season on Homecoming 31-21. The return to NC for FSU is for the first time since 2022, where that contest was moved up to a Thursday due to hurricane weather concerns. The Bobcats will look to avenge that loss in Pembroke and win possibly the final matchup of the two institutions. FSU is 3-2 all-time against UNCP.
Fairmont State Fighting Falcons (8-3 in 2023)
- A surpirse team from a season ago, Fairmont State returns to Bobcat Stadium for the season finale. Last year the Fighting Falcons dropped a crucial matchup to the Bobcats last year 50-20, as Fairmont State was fighting for a playoff berth until the end of the season. 429 yards of total offense fueled the Bobcats to the victory. Frostburg State is 4-0 all-time vs Fairmont State.
