Reynolds, Rippeon Take MEC Weekly Swimming Honors
BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Junior Tory Reynolds and sophomore Genna Rippeon were named the MEC Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Week, respectively, presented by The Health Plan.
Reynolds, earning his first career Swimmer of the Week honor, had FSU's lone individual win in their meet against IUP, taking the 50-meter butterfly in 26.75. He also placed second in the 50 breaststroke at 31.84 and was part of the runner-up 200 free relay team at 1:40.82.Rippeon secured her third weekly honor of the season by winning two events against the Crimson Hawks, taking the 200-meter IM (2:11.68) and the 100 free (1:00.92). She also was a part of the 200 free relay team that placed second in 1:54.92, losing out on first by .09 seconds.
