Simmons Named MEC Men's Basketball Co-Athlete of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Sophomore Trey Simmons received MEC Men's Basketball Co-Athlete of the Week honors, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office.
Simmons averaged 31 points per game as FSU went 1-1 in the week with a loss to Concord and a victory over Glenville State. In the defeat against CU, he had a season-high 35 points with 14 made field goals before scoring 27 in the win over the Pioneers, also recording 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals in the effort.
