Turner Selected as MEC Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Freshman Ka'Von Turner was named MEC Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for his performances in the Messiah Multis & Invite. The award was announced by the league office on Monday and is presented by The Health Plan.
Turner won multiple events in Frostburg's meet over the weekend, capturing first in both the 100 and 200 meters with times of 10.66 and 21.91, setting a new personal record in the 200. Turner was also a part of the 4x100 relay team that took first with a 42.08 finish that tied the meet's record, while also running in the 4x400 relay, earning the win with a finish of 3:26.74.
