Men's Tennis Falls to #21 Golden Eagles in Home Match

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 21 Charleston (WV) on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles took the doubles point with wins at the Nos. 2 and 3 spots, while top pairing sophomores Cole Alcala and German Diaz had their match suspended with a 4-3 lead due to time constraints.

UC showed why they're ranked as one of the top teams in the country, winning each of their singles matches in straight-set sweeps. Alcala (6-4, 6-2) and sophomore Noah Fisher (6-4, 6-4) were each able to take multiple games in both sets against their opponents.

With the loss, Frostburg falls to 4-9 on the year, while Charleston improves to 14-2. The Bobcats are back on the court to face Harford Community College at home on Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
