Women's Wrestling Receives NWCA Team Scholar All-America Award

MANHEIM, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the 2025 NCAA Women's Team Scholar All-America Awards with Frostburg State Women's Wrestling being one of 25 schools to receive the honor.
 
Frostburg had a memorable second year as a program, showing a 10-1 overall record and taking eight athletes to the NCWWC National Championships.  Head Coach Bre Neal was named NWCA Region IV Coach of the Year, helping her team place second in the regional championships, and crowing three wrestlers as regional champs.
 
In the classroom, FSU had four athletes named NWCA Scholar All-Americans with senior Shani Tyson, sophomore Jada Fowler, and freshman Amber Hunter-Snyder and Elle Webster being selected.  As a team, the Bobcats finished with an overall GPA of 3.363.
