Wishart, Etnoyer, Teague Pace Women's Cross Country to First Overall at Twilight Invite
WINCHESTER, Va. - The Frostburg State Women's Cross Country team took first overall at the Shenandoah Twilight Invitational on Friday evening.
Three FSU runners placed in the top eight in securing the meet victory, as juniors Emily Wishart (19:48.6) and Paige Etnoyer (19:50.9) went back-to-back in fifth and sixth, respectively, whlie sophomore Reilly Teague (19:56.4) wasn't far behind in eighth overall.
Another trio of Bobcats ran next to one another, as junior Hannah Schauman (20:48.9) was next across the line in 13th, followed closely by freshman Leah Magda (20:55.3) and sophomore Keira Taylor (20:55.4) in 14th and 15th, respectively. Freshman Stefani Burns closed out the scoring places with a time of 23:08.1 for 35th overall and 26th among scorers.
Frostburg will now have a short break in competition before heading to the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday, September 27 at 10 a.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
