Acrobatics & Tumbling Ranked Ninth in NCATA Preseason Coaches Poll
FROSTBURG, Md. – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) announced their 2025 Preseason Coaches Poll on Friday afternoon, placing Frostburg State Acrobatics & Tumbling in ninth.
Frostburg is coming off their second consecutive appearance in the NCATA Championships, entering as MEC Champions each year. The Bobcats finished 7-3 overall last season, going for a 4-1 mark in conference competition. FSU entered NCATA's last year as the seven seed, falling to the second seed of Quinnipiac in the quarterfinals.
The Bobcats received 312 total points in the poll, coming in between Iona (366) who is eighth, and Limestone (247) who is tenth. Baylor holds the number one spot in the poll with 699 total points and a strong 42 first-place votes, while Quinnipiac, Gannon, and Oregon round out the second, third, and fourth spots, all seeing at least one first-place vote as well. MEC opponent Fairmont State, who was picked first in the conference preseason poll, sits in sixth in the NCATA Preseason Coaches Poll with 415 total points.
FSU opens their season at home with a conference tri-meet of Kutztown and West Virginia State on Sunday, February 16 at 2 PM.
