Frostburg Cheerleaders To Hold Tryouts, Announce Squad Changes For 2014-15
FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State University cheerleading team will hold tryouts for the 2014-15 season on May 3 and 4, 2014. Tryouts will begin on Saturday the 3rd at 9:00 am in the Cordts P.E. Center practice gym, room 164. Any current FSU student, transfer student, and incoming freshmen who are interested in trying out are strongly encouraged to attend.
Those trying out will be evaluated on crowd leading skills, stunting skills, tumbling skills and will participate in a one-on-one interview with Head Coach Becki Carter. More information about the tryout requirements can be found by clicking on the 2014 – 2015 Tryout link or by clicking here.
**NEW** For the upcoming season, the FSU Cheer Program will consist of two teams, the Red squad and the Black squad. The Frostburg State RED squad, an all-female squad, will support football, men's basketball, and assigned women's basketball, will compete at several competitions throughout the season and will be active members in the local community. The Frostburg State BLACK squad, a co-ed squad, will support football, women's basketball, assigned volleyball and assigned men's basketball, will practice as a reserve for the RED team and will be active members in the local community.
