Football Appears at #24 in AFCA Coaches Poll
WACO, Tx. - The Frostburg State Football team made their first appearance in the 2024 AFCA Coaches Poll on Monday, coming in at No. 24.
FSU has started the year undefeated at 5-0, one of just 14 remaining teams that have not lost in Division II. Throughout the season, the Bobcats have become one of the country's top offenses, ranking sixth in the nation in scoring at 41.6 points per game. It is the first time the program has been ranked since the final poll of the 2021 season, where they ranked 15th to end the year.
Frostburg takes on Glenville State this upcoming Saturday, October 12, before a potential ranked match-up on Homecoming Weekend (October 19) against No. 14 Charleston (WV). The Golden Eagles, also unbeaten on the year, are the only other ranked MEC team in the poll.
