Golf Eleventh; Buenger Ties for Tenth at Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — The Frostburg State men's golf team took 11th place at the Gettysburg Invitational on Tuesday. Senior Sean Buenger tied for tenth with a score of 78, leading the Bobcat squad.

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — The Frostburg State men's golf team took 11th place at the Gettysburg Invitational on Tuesday. Senior Sean Buenger (Westminster, Md./Westminster) tied for tenth with a score of 78, leading the Bobcat squad.

Ned MacPherson from Gettysburg College finished first overall with a score of 73 while second place was captured by Zach LaVoie (73) from McDaniel.

As a team, McDaniel finished first with a score of 305 while Gettysburg (314) took second closely followed by Messiah (315) in third. Franklin & Marshall (317) placed fourth while Dickinson finished fifth with 321.

Finishing sixth was Elmira (322) edging out York (323) who placed seventh. Keystone captured eighth with 324 while Marymount (333) was ninth. Ursinus was 10th with a score of 343 followed by FSU (355) and Hood (DNF).

Finishing second for the Bobcats was senior Joe Eaton (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) who tied for 44th and shot 86. Sophomore Josh Williford (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) shot 92 and tied for 56th and junior Jack Lipps (Elkton, Md./Elkton) placed 63rd with a score of 99.

FSU is back on the course for the ECAC regionals at La Roche on October the 14th at 1:00 pm.
