Buenger Third at Centenary Invitational
Hackettstown, N.J. — Senior Sean Buenger (Westminster, Md./Westminster) earned his sixth-straight top-ten finish after firing a six-over par 78 to tie for third place and lead the Frostburg State golf team at the Centenary Invitational, Tuesday afternoon.
FSU also tied for third as a team, totaling a 348 along with Yeshiva. Moravian won the event with a 316 while Cabrini came in second with a 342.
Senior Joe Eaton (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) finished second on the Bobcat squad with an 85. Senior Jon Stepanuk (Prince Frederick, Md./Calverton School) was third (88) and sophomore Sean Farrell (Frostburg, Md./Beall) was fourth (97) to round out the top four.
FSU ends its season with-back-to-back top-ten finishes after taking sixth yesterday at the ECAC Championships.
