Connelly, LePrevost Finish Top-10 as Men's Cross Country Earns First Place

The Frostburg State Men's Cross Country team finished first at the Bethany invitational on Saturday, with each of their five scoring athletes placing in the top-25.

BETHANY, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Cross Country team finished first at the Bethany invitational on Saturday, with each of their five scoring athletes placing in the top-25. 

FSU took the day with a total time of 2:14:19, besting the 20 team field. The field was a mix of regional schools, including eight teams from Division II. 

For the second race in a row, the Bobcats were led by freshman Ryan Connelly, who had an eighth-place finish at 26:32.1. Senior Justus LePrevost came in just behind Connelly in the 10th spot and 5 seconds off his pace.

The team scoring was rounded out with tight grouping of Bobcats finishing together at 19th, 20th and 21st, with freshman Gage Osborne, junior Austin Comeaux, and freshman Haben Tesfay finishing respectively at 27:02.1, 27:03.3 and 27:05.3.
