Men's Cross Country Has Final Meet Before Conference Champs at Paul Short Run

The Frostburg State Men's Cross Country team went on the road to compete the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday.

BETHLEHEM, PA – The Frostburg State Men's Cross Country team went on the road to compete the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday.
 
The meet consisted of five different groups on the day for men's 8K, featuring 145 different college programs with over 1000 combined runners. 
 
The Bobcats ran in the College Brown 8K group, where the top finisher was sophomore Gage Osborne with a time of 26:41.8 in 130th overall. Frostburg had two more sophomores make up the top three, with Jaxon Jones (27:21.6) and Ryan Connelly (27:23.9) finishing two seconds apart, while junior Brandon Stein (28:02.6) and freshman Ben Saltysiak (28:15.5) made up fourth and fifth, respectively, in Frostburg's scoring runs. The sophomore trio of Haben Tesfay (29:22.9), Ray Gibson (29:38.5), and Nathan Hillhouse (30:35.2) rounded out FSU's runners on the day. 
 
Frostburg will have a short layoff before heading to Oglebay Resort to run in the MEC Championships on Saturday, October 26. For more information, please visit frostburgsports.com
