ELKINS, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Lacrosse team defeated Davis and Elkins on the road Wednesday evening by a score of 22-4.

Within the first few seconds of the game, junior Gregg Dort Jr. won the faceoff and fed senior Ausitn Sipes for a 1-0 lead. Minutes later, FSU had back-to-back goals by freshman Luke Roach and graduate student Owen McCallum to go up by three. Another win for Dort Jr. found the ball in the stick of graduate Bubba Lovem who assisted McCallum for a Bobcat six to zip advantage. A solo goal by Kearney advanced FSU's lead, then Sipes helped Love for an 8-0 advantage at the end of one.

McCallum saw a hattrick to start the second period and a nine-goal lead, then within the coming six minutes, D&E shot the ball high and wide, allowing FSU for chance after chance at offense. After a few missed shots, Love created space and found the back of the net to go up by double digits. A turnover by the Senators stemmed in a Dooley-Sipes connection for Frostburg's 11th goal, then D&E won the faceoff but turned the ball over to senior Luke McCullough, who assisted junior Ryan Tyler to advance the score to 12-0. On a man-up opportunity and under the two-minute mark, freshman Henry Sykes forced a turnover and found Dooley for the thirteenth goal of the day. Graduate student Justin Hulse and Love each put another away for FSU to end the first half up 15-0.

D&E opened the third quarter with their first goal as the score read 15-1. On a man-up opportunity, Sipes answered back, then McCallum and Dooley were awarded goals 17 and 18, unanswered by D&E. Within the last three minutes, freshman Luke Aspnes saw freshman Baylor Davis open to go into the fourth quarter with a 19-1 score.

FSU went up by twenty goals after freshman JT Calhoun and Aspnes put the ball in the back of the net one after another. Under ten to play, D&E, on a man-up opportunity, found their second goal of the contest. Junior Ben Smith responded to put the Bobcats up by twenty once again, but back to back goals were scored by the Senators to end the game with the Bobcats on top 22-4.

McCallum and Dooley tied for the team lead four goals apiece, followed by Sipes and Love who both had three goals and three assists. Junior Landon Bruce led FSU in caused turnovers with four.
