Quintero Rivas, Dell Earn Men's Soccer All-MEC Honorable Mention
BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced All-MEC Men's Soccer awards on Friday, with sophomore Carlos Quintero Rivas and junior Caleb Dell receiving All-MEC Honorable Mention, after a vote by the league coaches.
Quintero Rivas, in his striker role, led Frostburg in goals on the season with nine, tying for the third most goals around the MEC, while also leading the conference in game winning goals with four. Quintero Rivas finished with 38 shots and 18 points, while tying the single game goal record for the Bobcats with a career-high four goals in a 4-2 victory over Wheeling at home.
Dell, featured throughout the season as a center back, played the third most minutes on the team with 1,320, being one of the main defenders for FSU all season. Dell helped lead Frostburg to their lowest goals against average since 2021, while also knocking in a goal and being credited with an assist in a game against Davis & Elkins.
