Men's Swimming Competes at UMBC Tri-Meet

The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team traveled to UMBC for a non-scoring competition on Saturday afternoon with the Retrievers and Mount St. Mary's.

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team traveled to UMBC for a non-scoring competition on Saturday afternoon with the Retrievers and Mount St. Mary's.
 
Sophomore Dylan King had a couple of great finishes, winning the 100-yard free in 48.14 before finishing runner-up in the 100 breast at 1:02.65, just ahead of graduate PJ Emrich with a 1:02.96. Senior Tave Chanthavong had the next-best finish for FSU, coming second in the 50-yard breast at 28.29, with junior Andrew Wetherhold in third at 28.79.
 
Among other podium finishes, senior Nate Canapp took third in the 200 free (1:49.52), the same placement as sophomore Abe Bias in the 100 free (49.03).
 
Frostburg next will host Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday, December 14 at 10 a.m., where it will be Senior Day for the Bobcats. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
