Men's Tennis Loses Road Match to Fighting Falcons

The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team dropped their road MEC matchup against Fairmont State by a 7-0 final score.

FAIRMONT, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team dropped their road MEC matchup against Fairmont State by a 7-0 final score.
 
Sophomores Cole Alcala and German Diaz combined to secure the Bobcats' lone win on the day, winning 6-4 at the top doubles spot. Freshman Field Myatt and junior Matt Bolen came up just short at No. 3 with a 7-5 loss to give the Falcons the doubles point.
 
Diaz had the closest match in singles play, dropping a couple of long sets at the two spot 7-6, 7-5, while Bolen also put up a fight in a 6-3, 7-6 decision.
 
With the loss, Frostburg falls to 5-10 on the year, while Fairmont improves to 8-5. The Bobcats are back on the court Tuesday, April 23 as they travel to Salem for a 3 p.m. match. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
