Diaz Receives Men's Tennis First Team All-MEC Honors
Sophomore German Diaz was named to the men's tennis All-MEC First Team, as announced by the league office.
BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – Sophomore German Diaz was named to the men's tennis All-MEC First Team, as announced by the league office.
Competing for much of the season at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles, Diaz compiled 23 total wins, including a 14-1 record in doubles play. In helping the team qualify for their first-ever MEC Tournament appearance, Diaz had nine solo victories on the year, including an important 6-1, 6-2 decision over West Virginia State.
With the First Team honor, he becomes the first Bobcat to receive the distinction since joining Division II.
