Softball Sees Five with CSC Academic All-District Honors
AUSTIN, Texas – For the third consecutive year, Frostburg State Softball was represented by five athletes who received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, with seniors Hanna Binek and Cristina Sommerkamp, along with juniors Ally Myers, Arden Miller, and Gracie Nelson getting the nod this year.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
All five athletes played a significant role on the field this season for the Bobcats, as they also showed up in the classroom. Binek and Myers both carry a 3.9 GPA in Exercise & Sport Science, while Sommerkamp shows a 3.8 in the same major. Miller also holds a 3.9 but in Law & Society, while Nelson has a 3.7 as an English major.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
